TN.18 The Prehistorics-Petrified
With influences from Detroit favourites such as Radio Birdman and the MC5, to the Damned, Redd Kross and old school rock n’ roll legends, it’s no wonder someone once described THE PREHISTORICS as “70s influenced rock n’ roll with hooks!” Who are we to argue. Petrified features Zombie Generation which has already been seen on rage. This ten track album is a fine addition to the Turkeyneck Roster. With some cracking guitar work and killer hooks this is an album not to be missed.

Kamikaze are Adelaide’s very own olympic standard rock’n’roll pentathalon and all-round supremely sordid exhibition of unbridled recklessness. Debut release for turkeyneck and TMBV, this four track 7" is a rude crude and stupid as can you can hope for, from the the opener Dwarf fuckin to the to the pastiche of No Eye Dear's wife-slaying william tell overture. It does not disappoint especially if high hopes are not for you . Musically its sort of like a hyped up Child Molesters mixed with a little rural Nine Pound Hammer. These guys also appeared on Swedish label Tickled Crippler's "No **** its the GG Allin and the Jabbers tribute" album doing the GG Allin classic Bored to Death. Released in 2001 with a fantastic cover by the one and only Fred Negro. This ep set a trend of lo-fi offensive punkrock'n'roll for turkeyneck to follow.
