Good Evening, you..re probably wondering who we are, and we, of course, have no clue about who you are reading this little diddle. Well, I guess we..ll go first, cause our story is the shortest I..ve ever heard of in the history of garage rock and /or roll
Craig "Clamshake" Wood, looking for trouble, scrambled together a band in may 2009 in a hurry. In a series of events where Wilde Mathias tipped Craig about crazy norwegian songwriter Fred "Buch Lomax" Eckhoff restlessly wandering the streets of Copenhagen after the brake with norwegian freakbeat-hustlers Smell of Mutiny, recruited him, then dragged Wilde David Peter (of teenage stompers David Peter and The Wilde Sect) with him, before they in a blazing hurry turned to Mathias (allso in The Wilde Sect), guaranteeing booze and free sigarettes if he would press the buttons on the farfiza-organ in time with these bolcheviks. Needless to say he joined, and Craig, after long nights druelling after the swedish curling girl-team on Eurosport, found out there was something called a Hogline on the curling-pitch. As these swedes kept scrubbing the hogline with their brooms, Craig decided, this band´s gonna call themself The Hogliners.
A short month later this fresh band rambled on stage for a mindblowing debut at Club Teenstomp in Helsingör, and Club Mau Mau in Copenhagen, with a blazing mix of a hard folk rocking tunes, screeming guitars, squeeking farfizas, thundering bass and boom-boom-booming drums and a hell of a lot of blooddripping adrenalin-pumping manic energy, not looking back, but to the nearest studio recording seven numbers in less than two hours. The result of this recording frenzy will probably be found at this page before you read this, and if your really lucky, rumour says some of these songs are on their way onto a limited 7´debut singel out whenever ready, at this point, this seems to be mid september 2009.
