New L.P. - Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Fnords

New L.P. - Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Fnords

At last, our debut album is here and for sale! 13 songs in around 25 minutes, it's avilable from Hogs Head Music - http://www.hogs-head.com/ - and Elvis Shakespeare - http://www.elvisshakespeare.com/index.php - if you're in Edinburgh, by mail order if you're not. Price is an entirely reasonable £10, plus P+P if sent by post.

We're happy.

Yet yet more more radio!

I'm not entirely sure how far I can take this (grammatically speaking).....

Anyway, we're going to be on Leith FM on Wednesday talking about stuff and playing some music from our forthcoming LP. Plus a couple of other tracks.....

I don't know exactly where to find them on t'internet, but a search should help.

And yet more radio....!

Since my last post (cue trumpet), we've been on yet another radio show - Suck My Left One this time (also a Subcity show) - and played 4 tracks for them, set up in the very small room beside the studio. Thankfully, we didn't set off the alarm in the cash machine on the other side of the wall (can't've been trying hard enough...).

You can listen to the show here....

(some wee skips, but they're electronic rather than us!)

We played 4 songs; Zombie Go-go Girl, Scumbaby, a new one called She's So Sinister and a version of Billy Childish's Comanche.

And I think we might be about to do it all again next month; there's a mooted appearance on Leith FM but we don't yet know whether it's to play records and talk or to play live. Watch this space.... D.

Radio, gigs, LP, more radio....!

Well, that was fun; went entirely as predicted apart from that I didn't talk too much rubbish!

There's a tracklist here

http://www.subcity.org/shows/shakedown/41a7d/

with a "listen" function; the list includes one of our new songs (and one slightly older one), so be the first on your block, etc.... With (hopefully) the worst of the winter over, the gigs are starting to come in; 2 Cramps nights in February, one at the Note in March and one in Leith and another tbc in April. It's all picking up nicely, which is handy as we have a record currently being mastered for pressing; it's just possible that it might be out in February, although March is more likely. And we're doing a radio session, probably at some point over the next month. It's in a small space, so probably the Fnords Skiffle Group, or something like that!
