Originally formed in Wash., DC in summer 1979,lotsa gigs with Bad Brains, Slickee Boys, etc...even opened for B-52's, P.Furs,Echo & the Bunnymen,Iggy, and Joan Jett, among others!!

Insect Surfer Dave then reformed the band as a primarily all-instro band in Los Angeles by June '86.

Sound is a hi-energy yet psychedelic blend of sounds , with influences ranging from Link Wray,Dick Dale,Davie Allan, Television, Meat Puppets, Quicksilver, to spaghetti western and middle eastern sounds.

With 3 cds, a 'best-of', and appearances on about 30(!) compilations, Insect Surfers strive to bring you the best in modern surfadelic sounds.
